The list above only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or video-graphic evidence is available. The actual amount of destroyed/captured equipment is significantly higher.

A month after the beginning of the invasion, the rate of the Russian advance has slowed down significantly and even stalled in some areas. The Russian forces are also facing stiff resistance from the Ukrainians and have suffered substantially more equipment losses than the Ukrainian forces.

According to an estimate by NATO, between 7,000 and 15,000 Russian soldiers could have been killed during the invasion. A total of up to 40,000 Russian troops could have been killed, wounded, taken prisoner or have gone missing.

On the other hand, Russia claims that only 1,351 of its servicemen have been killed and 3,825 wounded in Ukraine since the beginning of the invasion on 24 Feb. The real number is difficult to verify at this moment.

The civilian casualties have also been significant, with the UN confirming 1,081 civilian deaths in Ukraine, but the true number could be much higher. More than 10 million people have been displaced within Ukraine, and close to 3.7 million have fled to the neighbouring countries.
